Conference: Federation of Genealogical Societies, September 2011

I received an email announcing that registration for this year's FGS conference is open. The conference home page is here. There are an endless array of talks scheduled over four days, but only three appear to focus specifically on Scotland:

Scotland's Old Parish Registers: How to Access, Use, and Interpret by Paul Milner
Locating American Scots-Irish Families in the Records of Ireland and Scotland by Dean J. Hunter
Tracing Scots Irish Ancestors also by Dean J. Hunter

Migration networks, a research interest of mine mentioned occassionally on this blog, will likely play a role in Immigrant Cluster Communities: Past, Present, and Future a talk by Lisa Alzo.

A complete list of the scheduled presentations is here.
