Scots-Irish Resources in Family Tree Magazine

Ulster

I've just read "Discover Your Scots-Irish Ancestors" by James M. Beidler in the December 2010 issue of Family Tree Magazine. The history in the article is, well, brief. If you are already familiar with the broad outlines of Scots-Irish history, you will not learn anything new. What is good about the article is that it discusses the availability of records and lists many, many useful websites for said research.

Snippets of the article and websites can be found here and here. If you are a Family Tree Magazine Plus Member you can access the entire article online. If you are frugal like me, check your local library system as the December issue should be in circulation. If it isn't at your local branch, it can probably be requested from another.

Lists of online sources, like those found in this article, are useful to historians of all sorts as we are all interested in primary documents.
